Each pack came with 2 novelty cards and a big slab of gum. You have to love the tag line "the Biggest Tastiest Chewiest Bubble Gum Ever." But as with all great things, it did not survive the test of time.

Alas, a great many of us do not stand the test of time ;)
wonderful blog.
Wow. I remember that gum, the ads for it, and the novelty card too. PROUSTIAN EXPERIENCE. Thanks, Dan.
I just flashed back to all of us doing the Carls Jr trivia cards that Scott S. snagged for us, sitting at your parents table, and eating fries free for months. Memories.
I dont remember the trivia cards but I do remember hanging out at Carl's Jr with Scott as manager - I miss those old Carl's jr reconstituted fries - they were the best
In my books, when it came to the biggest chew, nothing beat "Ton O' Gum" with its circus strong man bearing the burden of a huge pink slab of Topp's finest! Was this a strictly Canadian product ( I seem to remember the "O-PEE-CHEE" logo ) or did you guys also tear into the Ton?
I think you are right about Ton O Gum being canadian - I have a couple packs somewhere - I think it came in 2 flavors - regular and grape
I have fond memories of Big Wad Gum. My family moved from Minneapolis to Detroit in 1969.
Somewhere in the two and a half years we lived in Clawsom MI, suburb of Detroit, that gum hit the market. I even remember
buying it and having a chew with school mate, Greg Walt, or Wolt
or something like that. We were in the third grade. Greg, if you are out there, great gum huh?
mann o mann what a great childhood icon,, great big slab of grape buble gum , :) loved the cards too!
I want some Big Wad gum!!
Best wad ever..Tasted like Butterscotch !!
I remember the ice cream man sold Big Wad gum in Hackensack, New Jersey. Loved the original flavor. Too bad it’s no longer around!
