1960's Chips Ahoy bag

As a collector there are many things I wonder if I will ever see. This Chips Ahoy bag was one of those things. I remember this style bag from when I was a kid but I think the Cookie Man comic strip on the backs were from a little before my time. This one is probably from about 1967 and it is pretty beat up. But since it is the only one I have ever seen, I am happy to have it.

That bag really does nothing to make those cookies look very appealing.

I remember "Cookie Man"! He first appeared in Chips Ahoy's TV ads in late 1966, with Dayton Allen doing the narration. Most of them were funny, including Cookie Man's battle with "The Nothing", which lead Allen to crack at the end of that commerical, "...and Cookie Man is better than Nothing!".

I remember it being on the back of the package in about 1974 or 1975. I was four years old at the time and would have my mom cut the cartoon out for me.
