That Wise owl is really lovely, even going through several changes over the years. I have no idea what he looks like now, but he was a real icon of my childhood. Any more Wise owls in your collection?

Collecting regional potato chip bags is an industry unto itself. From the early '30s right through the early '70s, there were at least a hundred different brands of potato chips across this great country of ours [maybe MORE!!], and finding examples of those bags is a challenge to all but the most fervent collector!!

{and Wise was one of the first regional brands with a loyal following that eventually extended from beyond its "borders" to become a national brand!}

My grandpa drew the original wise owl when he worked for them in berwick, unfortunately his boss turned it in as his own for a bonus. Its really nice to see him again.
