Just so you know, Johnathan Coulton talks about OMNI in the intro to his song "The Future Soon". I have a personal connection to OMNI. In the first issue, there was an art contest, "Design a Future Road Sign". I made an Android Service Station sign, which was a runner up. Since I was a high-school student from just outside Chicago, they invited me to their office downtown, to pick up my 50 dollar check. When I arrived at the office, I found that it was also the office of "Guccione Publications", the publishers of Penthouse. Needless to say, I picked up some "samples" of OMNI's publishers other offerings, basically as many as I could stuff into my backpack, along with the check, and high-tailed it out of there.
