I just came across your site and love it. You don't have a followers button but I have put you on my dashboard with the other blogs I am following. I was trying to find some information on a metal microscope that was bought with proof of purchase from Grape nuts (I think). Can you direct me to any site that I might find out any information about it?
I don't know of any metal microscope premiums. There were all sorts of radio premium spy scopes and the like. Wheaties did a small 1950's plastic microscope. Best bet is to buy the hakes premium book and the Tomart radio premium guide.
Interesting. I have the original corrugated cardboard box that it came in and the label on the top right says "General Foods Limited - Cobourg Canada". (I live in Victoria BC.) On the top left is the graphic of a fellow and a word balloon from his mouth with the words "Giant economy size Grape Nuts Flakes". Thanks for the info, all the best. Again, I love your blog and Mr. Toast and his cohorts.

Most of the US premiums are well documented but I don't think any Canadian collectors have ever really put all that info together for their premiums.
