
Today a couple candy items are up for consideration. The Tic Tac piece was the top to the plastic candy display that Tic Tacs were displayed in. I didn't remember the character but he is cute. Below is a Jelly Jeans package. I am assuming they were just jelly beans but with a nice play on words and a package made to look like denim with a Levis tag you get another in the long list of short lived and unsuccessful candy marking strategies.

Very cool Tic Tacs sign! I don't remember that character either, but he sure is cool. He looks like a cousin to Fruit Pie The Magician. According to http://www.tictacusa.com/, Tic Tacs were introduced in the USA in 1969. I would guess this dates to the 1970s. Hopefully we can dig up more information on this guy. Thanks for sharing it!
