Oh those are so neat. I love made up creatures. One of my favorite things to come up with as well in my sketch book when I doodle. I'd love to try my hand at making a few stuffed animal creatures. Such a neat find. :D

Ohhh, I had a hedwig doll when I was a young lass. I'd pull the string and he'd say crazy things like "blicker blacker bloomshock" and "I don't make any sense at all". Set this pic as my background for my two girls to see (they know all about my obsession...) Have been searching for one for over 3 years if anyone has any ideas where I can track one down! Thanks for the vis - made my day!

Dan, of the first six critters shown, I had all except Grickily (which I've never heard of). Not counting the Cat in the Hat glue-together, all my snap-together critters, except for Busby, came in smaller boxes, like Aurora model kits. These are the older boxes — Busby was the last one I got. These were all early-'sixties Christmas presents. There was one more that I recall, Norville the something-or-other. Naturally, they were all thrown out when I wasn't looking (why did my parents buy them?), and I've never seen one since. Must you only show the boxes? — Kress del Rey
PS: I just remembered — I had a Birthday Bird glue-together, too.

If Tracey is still watching this, I have one to sell on eBay. My 12 year old son does not wish to inherit it. It still talks when you pull the string, but like many of us his age, we repeat ourselves more often than not.

I have been searching for these snap together toys to prove that they existed. I received 2 of them for Christmas when I was a little girl. Thank you for letting me see that I did NOT make them up. They truly are real.
