Odd Fast Food

This great little Smaks Delicious Pie container comes from a now defunct fast food chain in the Kansas City, MO area. They get Smaky the Seal's Seal of Approval.

This Yummy Mr Lesterburger cup is one of many mysteries that I have in my collection. This was probably from a fast food burger joint but an internet search turned up nothing. But you have to love this kids haircut!

Smaky the Seal, I remember the resturant when I was a kid. Used to go there more than McDonalds. Loved those Smaky burgers and fries. They even had a commercial that SMACKS is for the Family. =) Wow.. that is a long time ago.

This is a giveaway cup from Lesterburger in Fresno, CA. I worked there in the early 1970's as a kid/teenager. This was a regional chain in the Fresno area. I remember 4 locations for sure but I think there were something like 6 or 7 at one time. It was a pretty good hamburger place sort of on the order of a Burger Chef type thing. The owner's name was Les Lindley (Im pretty sure that's right, my dad knew him). The kid on the cup, I believe, is a cartoon character of his son Les Jr. when he was a kid. Les Jr. actually wound up running the operation. Les Jr. was the one running the operation when I worked there in the mid '70s.

The cup came from a burger joint in Fresno, CA. The kid is a drawing of the guy who started the
"LesterBurger" chain. They had a triple bun before the other place.

I was in the Longs Drugs in Fig Garden Village the other day and found that they have a picture of the old "Lesterburger" drive in up on their wall!

I was surfing the 'net looking for the words to a Smaks commercial from when I was a kid and found this! I'm in the Kansas City, MO, area and remember there was a Smaks near where I grew up. Didn't turn up anything else except for this, so glad I found it!

The Lesterburger cup is from Lesteburger in Fresno CA. They had the best burgers and the best crinkle cut fries. Oh wow I wish they were still around. They were way better than the fast food we have now.

These cups were a give away at LesterBurgers in Fresno, CS. There was one around the corner from us Belmont & Chestnut. To this day have not had a better burger.
