Circus Scrapbook

Picked up this great circus scrapbook at the flea market. Classic 1930's stuff. Seems she died young and her clippings & photos were kept all these years by her brother.

Thank you for your wonderful blog and sites... this photo album is so bittersweet. I can't believe her brother finally got rid of it.
x cheers for doing what you do.

Fascinating, but I'll bet the brother didn't "get rid" of this stuff. More likely he expired recently and his estate did.

Reminds me of the show Carnivale that used to be on HBO.

Hi! I am so in awe of this collection. I am an artist and I am doing a piece inspired by the book Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen...have you read that yet? Anyway, these photos look like they are right out of her book. I hope you have read it or might one day want to. It means the world to me that you have shared these.
