thanks everyone. I don't usually get too personal on my blog but she has been my constant companion for almost 10 years. She was my little buddy.

So sorry about your loss. Our special friends mean so much, but they never really leave

oh, so sorry to hear! our hearts go out to you. I hear Riggles wheezing softly in the background as I type this and while he can be inconvenient at some times I know I'll be inconsolable when his time comes. hugs to you all, Mod Betty

Dan, I am so sorry to hear this. I can empathize since it was one year ago yesterday that we lost our beloved rat terrier (who looked very much like Maizie) and it was devastating. The pain was as intense as when I lost my father; they are truly part of the family. I didn't think I'd ever adjust (I kept thinking she was still sitting in her favorite spots), but somehow the healing came.
I'm glad I got to meet and pet Maizie. You all will be in my prayers.

Jim - yeah I kind of imagine her running through the clouds

Kirk - Yeah they are like little people. We were lucky in that we had 3 great months after her diagnosis to spend quality time and get to say goodbye. That is the one thing that has mitigated our loss.

I’m just now catching up on my blog reading. Deb and I are saddened about Maizie and we’re very sorry for your loss. It was nice to finally get the chance to meet her last year after seeing pictures of her thru the years. Hang in there.
