LA Times Festival of Books - Day 2

Day to started with the return of Mr Toast fan Maggie, decked out in her Mr Toast in Outer Space shirt. I really enjoy seeing how much people enjoy Mr Toast. Lots of other people came by including Officer Byrd, Matt and Jane, Shannon's mom Kathi, Phranc (with a copy of Krazy Kids Food!), and about a million others. The show was a total success and we should be back again next year.

I saw a thing about Mr. Toast on galleycat, so I came over to see if you were the Mr. Toasty guy. And you're not! Do you know Mr. Toasty?
here's something I wrote about him in 97, back in the day, with a scan of Mr. Toasty.

actually a friend of mine shot a photo of that sign for me a few years ago. I had no idea he was called Mr Toasty, seems kind of odd since he is a piece of bread....

Hey Dan-Great pics! That is one sweet banner you made. Sometimes LA looks better than NYC in your pics...;) Do you sell Drunken Carrot dolls now, or are those from your handmade set? And the shirts look great! Good to see Mr Toast has so many fans!

I sold one Drunken Carrot doll to my friend matt, another I have on Etsy. Yeah those are handmade ones - hopefully some news soon about some more mass produced dolls......

Dan,
the whole family is still swooning from our Mr. Toast experience. PARADE is beautiful! In fact, Mr Toast & Parade were a big hit as our youngest daughters' kindergarden share. Our Mr. Toast is tucked safely in her bed, sound asleep. Thanks for creating such a magical imaginary world.

I'm so happy I came across your booth at the book fest and I can't wait to buy more things at Comic Con! I am now completely in love with Mr. Toast and friends.
