Yep, had the clubhouse too, prob around 1975-76. I remember the red roof, the front door that opened, and the windows. I think there were window boxes that folded down (and maybe shutters). Remember having a poster or two of Cher pulled out from Dynamite magazine.
I just came back from my folks' place with a small stack of Pals' Club stuff. I joined before the Pals Puppy was introduced so my certificate doesn't have him on it, but I do have the offer for the watch.
I also had the Clubhouse. Now I just want to find the patch.
The Pals Puppy watch is from the early 70s. Pals vitamins were manufactured by Mead Johnson in Evansville, IN where I worked. I bought my watch in our company store. It still works perfectly after 35+ years...keeps great time and the puppy's eyes move with each tic-toc!
I'm from Evansville, and remember having a Puppy Pal watch as a young child. I loved it! I've been unable to find anything like it on e-bay. Not sure why I recall this so many years later, but apparently it made a big impression on me!
I was a member of the club, too. I had the puppy watch, and I have been looking for one for years. I also had bath soap shaped like all the animals, except puppy. That was before he was introduced. I am so glad to know that there are puppy watches still out there that are still working. I hope someday I will own one again.
while cleaning out my parents house I found a new unopened box of the Pals soaps and a new mug that were mine as a child - even some used soaps my mom had saved in a bag - what great memories.
WOW… I still have 3 Pals Puppy Watches. Two are still in the original boxes they were shipped in and never used. One I wore every day as a kid and the red band eventually wore out and broke. I remember when my mother got the first one for me and for some reason 2 more arrived a short time later. She contacted the company back then and they told her to just keep them. I am now 47 and it still amazes me that the one I wore all the time as a kid still runs and keeps perfect time as do the new ones. I have replaced the band with a red leather on in my adult size and I will occasionally wear it to work or out as a flashback conversation piece. I also had the club house and photos of me as a child playing in it with my dog.
its funny how one thing leads to another in my mind; I'm watching a documentary on Crete and I suddenly remember my Fanny the Pink Fish Soap (don't ask why that popped in my mind) ... amazing thing about the internet - you can enter random words and get a result. (I remembered "pink fish/yellow owl") The soap was based on "Pals" kids vitamins and my mother bought the set for me. It took me forever to use them up - I am prone to hanging on to stuff like this forever. Now that I am looking at your page I remember the certificate (I had that too !)Newsletter seems vaguely familiar too. Curious about the years these were out. Youtube has a commercial from 1969.
I have a Pals Puppy Watch. It works! Unfortunately, the Puppy's eyes don't go up and down----some foolish watch repair guy glued them to the back of the face! Unforgivable! Still, the watch works---it was just repaired---again! I love it. It's so damn cute--and people ask me about it all the time.

I remember PALS! Was this from the sixties/early 70s?
I think Flintstones vitamins knocked PALS out of the ring! ;-)
I was a member of the pals club and I still have my Pals Puppy watch!
I remember Pals. In fact I had a cardboard Pals club house that we sent away for.
Thanks for the memory.
Scott
My girlfriend had the clubhouse too. Pals was way cooler than the Flintstones.

I had that same clubhouse...YES! Window boxes, window shutters and all.
OMG, don't know what possessed me to think of PALS tonight...do any of y'all have any of these things?
Anybody have a picture?

I have my Pals Puppy Watch...am wondering if anyone knows how much it is worth??? It is the cutest thing with his little eyes moving up and down...
I loved Pals. They were the best tasting vitamins ever! Wish they were still around.

I read this article. I think You put a lot of effort to create this article. I appreciate your work.

I had the club house as well. We even waterproofed it for use outside in the summer. Good times. :)
