Seriously, I always loved the snakes. Friends couldn't believe that I'd be missing the big up-in-the-sky stuff to squat and watch those snakes form out of fire.
I remember the upper left box, and was glad to examine the other two. Wonderful that you have those things and a camera and a blog and artistic sensibilities and all that good stuff.
As kids, we were always antsy for night to fall and the fireworks start up, so my folks stocked up with Red Devil Snakes and Sparklers to help us make it through the never-ending twilight.
My brother bought some snakes last year, and instead of the little 1/2" pellets, they are now itty bitty things, maybe even smaller than a tic tac. The package is the same size as in the past, but its mostly full of tissue paper.
Conjuring serpents from ashes. My favorite part!

ReplyDeleteI also loved the Magic Snakes when I was a kid. They were the one firework my parents would let me do by myself.
