I've read this speech dozens of times and was delighted to find it on YouTube. I've been tinkering with my thoughts about Leo Burnett for weeks now and will get to them eventually. Burnett is one of my personal heroes and influences and this speech is a real classic. In case anyone doesn't understand the reference to "the apples"--the agency always had a bowl of apples at the reception desk. Supposedly during the Depression, someone told Burnett that he would fail in the ad business and end up on the corner selling apples. So he decided to give them away instead.
