Howdy & Hoppy - Burry Day 3

Burry jumped into the licensed character game in the 1950's with Howdy Doody cookies and Hopalong Cassidy cookies. These beautiful full color boxes helped promote the TV shows and were part of an avalanche of products marketed to kids during this period.

On the sides of the Hopalong Cassidy Burry's Cookie Box were cowboy cattle brands. My mother traced many of them onto my toy box and added some of her own. Hoppy's brand was Bar 20 (the number with a line drawn underneath), Roy Rogers Double R BAR Brand and even the Lone Ranger's brand - LR. Wish I had that toy box now. It would be a collector's item.
