Mr Toast Holiday Art Show

Monkeyhouse Art Show this Saturday

This Saturday is the opening of the Mr Toast Holiday Art Show at the New Monkeyhouse Toys. Everythign will be cash and carry so come out and buy some gifts. Over 100 pieces of art.

The opening is from 6-8PM. Monkeyhouse Toys is at 2874 Rowena Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90039. The show runs until December 31st and will be open Tuesday through Saturday 11-6PM and Sunday 12-5 PM (closed Mondays).

Star Clipper in St Louis

Good bye Thanksgiving, Hello winter time.

DesignerCon

There is a lot going on this weekend. On Friday, I will be heading out to the CTN-Expo to check it out. Then Friday night at Munky King on Melrose is the Custom Sketchbot Show which I am in. My little guy is show above.

Then on Saturday, I have DesignerCon in Pasadena. The show runs from 10-5, admission is $5 but free after 3 PM. I will have a set up with toys and other Mr Toast stuff. D-Con is a fun show because it is pretty laid back, so come down and say hi.

Small Gift Paintings

My paintings for the Sanrio Small Gift Show. Show runs November 12-21 at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, CA.

Sanrio Small Gift Show

Last year Sanrio held a special Hello Kitty Show and Exhibition at Royal T. The show was such a success, they decided to do it again this year but even bigger and better. This year it is at the Barker hanger in Santa Monica and runs from November 12-21. There is an art show of 50 great artists and then 10 special mini exhibitions inside the show. I am one of the lucky 10 that has a mini exhibition.

So for the last 3 months I have been working on some special paintings. I can't show them just yet but they are a fun mash up of Sanrio characters and Mr Toast characters. I finished 6 of them, plus four paintings where I do a little take on just the Sanrio characters plus a bunch of mini watercolors. So below are a few of the mini watercolors, I will post more as the week goes on and then on Friday, I will post all the paintings. Enjoy, I have had a fun time doing these.

Holiday Art Show in December at the New Monkey House Toys. Opens Saturday December 4th from 6-8PM and then runs til December 31st. Cash and Carry show so you can buy stuff as gifts and take it with you immediately. The New Monkey House is not open yet but will be opening sometime in November. Glad to have Mayra and Monkey House back!

The New York Comic Con is coming up next week. I will be in booth #2385. The show runs Oct 8-10th at the Javitz Center.

I will have a nice supply of Mr Toast dolls (including some of the new Drunken Carrot dolls), I will have some of the new Badge Bomb buttons (seen above), and a bunch more cool stuff. So if you are in NYC next week come on down.

This Weekend

I am in a couple shows this weekend. First up is Fleeting Immersion at the Tin Lark Gallery in Hollywood (at the Crossroads of the World). I have an Indian Corn painting in the show which opens on Friday at 8PM.

Then on Saturday, it's the Analog Playset custom toy show. My Bacobot is in the show which is an auction with the money going to charity. This show is at Atticus Clothing Store on Melrose and starts at 7PM.
