El Marko was the brand the Bad Kids used.
Oh man, we had plenty of red and black "El Markos"!
I must have been a bad kid, as I had a Black El Marko. More than one, actually.
I still remember what those markers smelled like.
These always were (and still are) my very favorite tool for drawing caricatures: youtube link I bought huge cases of them in the 90s and maybe have one or two markers left. Wish I could find more.
